What is the PRSSA?
The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. We seek to advance the public relations profession by nurturing generations of future professionals. We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.
PRSSA is made up of more than 11,000 students and advisers organized into 300 plus Chapters in the United States, Argentina and Colombia. We are headquartered in New York City, and led by a National Committee of PRSSA and PRSA members. We have a rich history of support from our parent organization, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which offers professional development, networking opportunities and news.PRSSA helps you enhance your education, broaden your network and launch your career in public relations.

As a public relations professional, your biggest asset is your network. By joining the PRSSA at the City College of New York you become a member of a national network of future professionals just like yourself. You will be given exclusive access to scholarships, internships, and professional information that can help give you a competitive edge as both a student and rising communications professional. Additionally, we hold seminars and our annual Building Bridges event during which we invite our members to listen to industry figures and alumni who come to share their experience and knowledge.
How to join the PRSSA at CCNY
Ready to joing the PRSSA at CCNY? Great! Here is what you need to do. Enclose your yearly membership dues in an envelope and on the outside of the envelope, include the title "PRSSA Membership" and clearly print the following information:

Yearly dues are $50.00 and give you a full year of PRSSA membership - this includes the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters.
Please submit your dues personally to Professor Lynn Appelbaum in Shepard Hall office 472A or to David Rangelli in Shepard Hall office S-427A to hold for Professor Appelbaum.
